    Lemon Ginger

Did you clean out your shed this week?

Don't have a shed - lucky I have room for some plants and an actual tree.

What's your favorite candy bar, even if you haven't had it in awhile?

Do you ever binge watch TV shows?

Generally in the winter. I buy BBTheory on Black Friday (because the seasons are marked down to $10 at Target) and hubs and I work on those for a week or so.

Is there a show out there that you find completely hilarious?

Not since Arrested Development was canceled, but Married and You're the Worst are pretty funny.

    Read anything interesting lately?

I'm currently reading Siddhartha. I never read it in high school, so I figured it was time.

    3. Working at the grocery, as an office assistant and babysitting. College. Bills to pay. No wonder why I sometimes fell asleep on dates.

What is the most interesting item you have found while visiting a thrift store/flea market or other such retailer? (Yard sales count!)

    This:
imageGrowing up, my grandmother had one in her kitchen, and now, thanks to flea market in Vermont (one that also sold an alarming amount of firearms), we have one in our kitchen.

Do you know what this thing is called or what purpose it serves?

    dankind,

It seems that on a little bit of research, it is a faith based type plaque that seems to run in the direction of the Amish.

Awesome find! Can I tell you how much that applies to my life?

If you have purchased resale clothing, what is the most rockin' piece you have found? (I have a brown corduroy jacket that I purchased for 50 cents and have now turned it into a concert coat. My good friend, Dave, sent me some PJ patches. One is on the arm and I have buttons on the pockets.)

I got a pretty kickass polyester, butterfly-collar shirt with a butterfly print on it for a disco party about 15 years ago. I looked like a boss coke dealer in that shit.

    Edit: You?

*Oh, and deadendp, I thought it was just some kind of plaque as well, since my grandmother, who's about as far from Amish as you can get, just had it hanging on a nail in her kitchen (as we do now). But according to the vendor at the flea market, who was cleaning a gun as he told me this (as a result, I did not try to haggle too much on price), it's called a trivet, and you put hot pots and pans on it so that you don't burn up your countertops.

An authentic WWII Navy pea-coat. Has the sailor's name and serial # on the inside. Adds a human touch. A story. A friend in the vintage clothing business authenticated it for me. Paid $20 and I found a $20 bill in the pocket. Free coat.

I was going to say, in response to Dankind's pic, a place to set a hot kettle.

A little late, but do I win anything?

I've only bought secondhand purses, not clothing. Not that I wouldn't buy second hand clothing it's just not something that's happened.

I don't know what physical home video is. If you mean like tapes for camcorders, then no. I was not a camcorder kid. There are no home videos of me as a kid. Honestly there's barely any pictures. I found one of my grandparents holding me at my christening (baptism) and bugged out cuz I've never seen baby pix of me before. Maybe that's why I'm the least photogenic person on earth?

Hobbes, you win a nail to hang your kettle from.

Have I answered all the questions?

My uncle did. When he passed in 2012 my mom brought home about 10 of those books with the state quarters.

It's taking considerable effort for me not to use them for laundry.

Do you have any odd inherited items¿

Not hatin' (except for dimes). Look at a dime. Go on. Look at it. Look at the goddamn coin!

    OK. Done?

Now tell me: How much is that coin worth?

You didn't look at a dime. It's worth ... "one dime."

Now how the fuck are you supposed to know what that means if you're not an American? (Wars have been started for less, or at least longstanding feuds).
