Don't have one, my car stereo is iPod only. But, I was listening to Kate Nash - Made of Bricks on the way to work this morning.

Do you purchase more digital music now or still more CDs than digital?

I have a Kindle (that's what I'm on now) but I do prefer physical books. I have read books on it from the library.

    Do you support the arts?

  • Always tomatoes and squash. I put in an asparagus bed last year, and I have my fingers crossed.

Do you preserve your veggies for later in the year?

Not yet, I'm starting to get my garden together.

Is there anything you would love to grow, but can't? (because of climate/location)

  • Some melons are hard because our growing season can be pretty short.

Is your garden in the ground or raised beds?

It's in the ground. All organic. Our yard is a registered Monarch Waystation with Monarch Watch, so we have to be really careful that what we use won't kill the Monarchs!

Because I think your question was inadvertently skipped, I broke my foot catching butterflies to tag them for Monarch Watch. I was in a boot for 2 months, but still broken until the 4 month all-clear. The butterfly didn't get away. I was being stupid because it was a tough Monarch year. I jumped up to catch the butterfly, it was over a little incline, off of my neighbor's driveway and I had Birks on. I twirled as I caught it and landed on the side of my foot. I think that the bumps on the footbed with the way I landed snapped the bone in half. :open_mouth:

Do you grow non-GMO? (We do. We buy our seeds from Baker Creek Seeds.)

Not yet but I REALLY want to start our garden this spring! Non-GMO is vital imo.

Can you give me any advice on starting a non-GMO garden and keeping it all organic, manageable with my already hectic life and protect it from being eaten by the birds, squirrels and ground hogs?

Coffee grounds & egg shells are a lot of what I use for food. I also have a compost barrel. (It rotates on a stand.) We have rain barrels. Actually, we have three of them. The natural rainwater helps. Epsom salts I use as food. (Both sprinkling out with the plants about once a month and spraying the pepper and tomato plants every two weeks.) There are also some delightful organic foods out there. Jobe's, I think is the brand I have. As far as critter protection, fencing, Bird-X netting and frankly, sometimes having a feeding area where they know that food IS certain is the way to deter them from eating your stuff. I've also made plant guards with Gatorade bottles and Earthbound Farms lettuce boxes.

Do you start plants or do you buy starts?

Italian green beans. Found a kind that gives me beans for a few good months.

Are you expecting a snowstorm this weekend? (We are. At least 10".)

  • No snowstorm but they are calling for not getting above zero.....I don't know if I can take it(please read with heavy sarcasm)

    Yes, and a vinegar cake.

What are you looking forward to right now?
