I do take cheap sleep aid pills every night. I think you're only supposed to take them temporarily, so if I ever grow a third eye, I will know why.

What did your last run-in with The Police entail? Listening to the band, getting a speeding ticket, or making your TV debut on Live PD?

I knew I would be the one to break down and ask a question.

If there was a pay-per-view cage match between Nancy Grace and Judge Judy, would you be down like a clown Charlie Brown?

I adore JJ (in fact, I'm watching her berating someone right now =) ) so, yes!

    Have you ever sued someone?
  • oftenreadingoftenreading Victoria, BC Posts: 12,845
No, but I’ve has someone try to sue me, very unsuccessfully.

Have you ever been to court?

    Nope.
(Hedo, I am a JJ fan too! She cracks me up.)
Do you have a favorite book of love letters?
  • hedonisthedonist Posts: 24,524
Published ones or personal randoms over the years?

I'm in the latter group!  Although they're not in a book, simply saved amongst the many (cards and letters) on the shelf ;)

Serious question as it's something I recently discussed:  If you had a disease or ailment or the like, would you want to know and go through trials of the treatments (dosage, side-effects, etc.) or just go with what life has dealt you?  Ride it out?

(subset question - would you even want to know?)

    Apologies for the morbidity.
  • hedonisthedonist Posts: 24,524
PS to often - I sued someone, quite successfully!  Had to garnish her wages too.
  • OffSheGoes35OffSheGoes35 Posts: 3,516
I would want to know and try everything, even if it was experimental.
    (What was your answer, hedo?)

Is there a song that you love that is just totally out of left field from your usual musical taste?
  • dankinddankind Posts: 20,839
Not really. I'm all over the map musically. I do find myself hating a lot of music/bands that people and algorithms assume that I would like.

I don’t brush my teeth. I let someone else do that for me. Outsourcing saves so much time.

Do you pay anyone to do personal chores for you?

    Only grocery delivery.

I would love to have weekly cleaning (and laundry) service.  Some day!

Do you prefer your home's interior walls to be white or colored?

(OSG, if you're referring to the question I think you are, I'm sort of similar to the ostrich in that I don't really want to know; I guess I'd rather deal with holistic treatments.  Hopefully that won't be a bridge I'll have to cross anytime soon, but those thoughts rattle around as I get older ;))

I like colour in my life.

    Do you enjoy  painting?

I used to enjoy it,, but I liked doing charcoal drawings better. Haven't done that in a long time.

Was there a recent question in this thread that you would like to answer that you missed out on before?
  • hedonisthedonist Posts: 24,524
A shitload of 'em!  Sometimes I delay response due to lack of a question in turn at the time.

I wanted to answer the film soundtrack one.  Jesus Christ Superstar!  And Amadeus.

Is there a dog breed to which you're partial?
  • hedonisthedonist Posts: 24,524
Fine, I shall answer my own question =)

Pits (but closely followed by Labs and Shepherds and Wob's Aussie ones).

I spoke earlier with my closest cousin - we're both huge Beatles fans, even took the walking tour together through London late 90s.  Crossing Abbey Road with him is a life-highlight.

Anyway, we were talking about our "favorite" Beatle(s).  When I told him mine, he asked why.

    Well...

George - introspective, deep, but funny.  Saw humor in much, and his observances have humbled and inspired me.  Epitome of grace.
Paul - so similar to Mozart...complex simplicity (see: I've Just Seen a Face)
    Ringo - happy puppy, duh.
John - seemed alright in many ways.  The doc where he invited a homeless hungry young man inside his home to eat at his table brings me to tears every time.  But - How Do You Sleep comes off as a bit Taylor Swift-y.

    Whew!

So who in the bloody hell is your go-to Beatle?

    Yes, the cat kind.

Go to Beatle? I don’t have a fave. I like them as a whole.

My question: Have you ever put out on the first date?
  • OffSheGoes35OffSheGoes35 Posts: 3,516
Hell no. My mom wasn't adamant about too many things, but she insisted that you couldn't earn a man's respect after putting out on the first date. Whether that's true or not, I'll never know.

What was a lesson from one of your parents that you actually listened to?

Rogue Stoner didn't answer with a true Yo Mama joke, so I feel like I have to intervene, sorry RS.

No prob. It was a lame joke aimed at @lolobugg.

Yo Mama like a cigarette, I have her 40 times a day and she's killing me.

Oh , and hedo, the Groucho note----that is just TOO COOL!!

    Okay, last question was....

Which historical building do you like the most?

Do you have a "can't not watch" movie?

I came across Princess Bride just now, and even attempting to resist it?

    In-contheivable!

Once. With a guy. He won.

Have you ever fallen asleep during a post-argument "talk"?
  • OffSheGoes35OffSheGoes35 Posts: 3,516
I'll answer then. No, I have not. I have had it happen to me. Know your audience. The guy had sleep apnea.

Even though you don't believe in astrology, is there  a certain sign that you seem really compatible/ incompatible with?
  • hedonisthedonist Posts: 24,524
Good question.  Those to whom I'm closest and love the most run the gamut of signs.  Maybe Capricorns are most opposite of myself (I'm looking at you, mom!)
    =)

Were / are you tighter with one parent vs. the other?

    I’ve never heard of him.

Have you ever gotten any kind of extra BS charge at a hotel that you had to dispute?...like an extra $100 cleaning fee.
