Have you ever hired a maid/cleaning service? I've never done it but thinking the end result would be worth the weirdness of having a stranger in our home, basically cleaning up after two adults and two cats.
No...sometimes I think I'd like it, but then how does that person know what to throw away or not?

Yes. It's worth it when you have a huge disparity in the willingness of both parties to do housework (i.e. one won't do any so the other has to do it all) so disagreements can be avoided.

RK, yes (rather, my husband does; his work has great car guys who come once a week). THAT is worth it.

I just can't physically handle the major cleaning and don't want my guy to take all of that on. Figured I'd take a day off work and have it done as his birthday gift.
