Do you find Horatio from CSI:Miami to be spectacularly irritating?
  • Don't watch it, but I know who you're talking about. He's good for comic relief. Jim Carrey did a great impersonation of him.

I hate to admit, but I went with a group of people in high school to see . . . NKOTB. :grimacing: My husband was just teasing me about it last night. He has a right to. What the hell was I thinking?!

My son was given Nickelback tickets when he was 11 for his birthday (he wasn't even a fan) so I went with him. Music was brutal, but the people watching was very amusing!!

If you could see any band in the world that no longer exists who would it be and why?
  • oftenreadingoftenreading Posts: 12,845
Talking Heads. I just missed them - was into their music (well, I still am) but I lived in a little northern town that where nobody tours and by the time I was down in a big city they were no more.

    What band would you see?

It's kind of hard to narrow it down, but I would probably vote for Led Zeppelin. There are other bands I like that don't exist, but all members are still alive so there's always a possibility of the almighty reunion tour. Why Led Zeppelin? Mom always played them when I was a kid. She also played Fleetwood Mac. My sister went by way of Mac and I went Zeppelin. I've seen Robert Plant solo and Robert Plant and Jimmy Page several times. I just can't imagine how good all 4 were together!

Yes. My job kind of requires it. I have to have something that doesn't make me look like I rolled out of the back garden, but if I ruin it, I'm not mad. Hanging from ceilings, up and down ladders and underneath displays, I've blown out knees, gotten pockets caught on L hooks in the wall, snagged sweaters, ripped shirts. I kill my clothes doing display at work. My thrift sells really nice Ann Taylor jeans (fit me really well) practically new for $3. Not always there, but if I can find them, they are great and wear forever! I would rather pay $3 than $70.

    What's your best resale find?

My Diamond ring that replaced my original lost engagement ring...we bought it at a pawnshop for 100$ and it's gorgeous, I just need to get it re-tipped so I can wear it.
