Great thriller, located in New Zealand, in a little town, starring Elisabeth Moss (Peggy in Mad Men) as a police detective, trying to solve a very complicated case, a twelve years old girls disappears, she is pregnant & "no one" is the rapist... I won't tell you more, just in case... The picture, images are great, the nature overwhelming and frightening at the same time. The people/characters are pretty disturbing, the people in the village are rude and hardened by the tough life & nature surrounding them. You feel she (the detective) is in permanent danger. Holly Hunter is probably the most famous actor in the mini show (7 episodes), Peter Mullan (the Scottish actor in Tyrannosaur – awesome!-, looks a bit like Bryan Cranston...) is amazing. Written, produced & co-directed by Jane Campion.

One time I was being pulled over for speeding (50 in a 35 mph zone :roll:). As the cop was standing at my window asking for the appropriate documents the other traffic was pulling around us. A car had slowed to go around safely and the car behind that one must have spaced out or was gawking at me getting a ticket bc he rear-ended the first car right next to me and the cop who was standing there unprotected. Fortunately, he wasn't hurt but he was pissed! He gave me my documents back, told me to slow down and let me go! I'm sure that other driver wasn't so lucky!

Yes. Getting the small people in my life tucked in and asleep involves some rituals which include me snuggled up to the littlest one until he falls asleep while I read this board or listen to my iPod. It's the only uninterrupted 15 minutes I have all day long.
