    EDIT: ahem, let me give my back story...my chiropractor was randomly talking about his Uncle Cav during my appointment...and it made me think of you...and so I asked "What is Cav short for?" And he said, "Cavanaugh".

    I think I just answered my own question.

    Well.. My last name is very close to Cavanaugh.. And yes "Cav" is my nickname, being short for my last name.. My friends were calling me "Cav-ster" for a bit and one drunken night, fed up, I proclaimed myself Cavstar.. and soon after in my ramblings, and having the ability to recite Top Gun in its entirety, I said "No no boys, there are two R's in Cavstarr"... stuck...
