My mom married my stepdad when I was 6 and he brought a glorious collection of albums when he moved in..When I was little I loved sliding this record in and out :D (and listening to it too :) )

Did your parents influence your taste in music?

    Wow... that's a good one!!
    One of my faces...

To an extent... My dad opened me to so many different types of music... Opera and Jazz that I think made me appreciate Rock and all the rest I listen to...

One album that you are finally able to admit you loved that you could not when you were a kid?

When I went to bed I felt tired, but then I listened to music and became awake again. I had a loooong nap today, probably that's why. It's almost 3 a.m. now :?

(afroannie - I deleted the post you answered to and now you deleted your answer  I'll leave the post now ...)

Oh, and I don't seem to remember what album I bought first with my own money

Did you have a pet when you were a child?
  • afroannnieafroannnie Posts: 12,995
:lol: Yeah...when I went back your post was gone...I figured my answer didn't really make sense for Adam's question

Yep..I actually had a variety of pets when I was a kid...many kitties (we raised Himalayan cats), birds, bunnies, dogs, fish, and a newt. I think that's everything :D

    You?

Yup, we had cats, bunnies and birds :)

    What is a newt?

I'll give it another try now - nighty
  • afroannnieafroannnie Posts: 12,995
    They're like a salamander...they look like this :D

    newt3.jpg

My newt had an unfortunate "incident" with my cat...he survived, but passed away shortly after that...

Are you afraid of any animals?

I don't really like snakes, but I am not used to them being around me. There are certain animals I would be afraid of like bears, wolves, sharks and stuff like that. But I think I will never come across any of those in the wilderness ...

Did you ever drive a tractor? (I'd love to one day :D )

It's BIG and powerful and I imagine it being lots of fun :D I would do something of an offroad cruise, this way I wouldn't have to pay attention to any rules and no one would get in my way

What kind of vehicle would you like to drive / ride that you haven't before?
  • afroannnieafroannnie Posts: 12,995
I've always wanted to ride in a side cart on a motorcycle :D

    Do you like roller coasters?

Yup, I even used my heating during the weekend. Good thing is - it's soup and hearty food weather! And at least the sun is shining :)

What do you have to do with that urine?
  • afroannnieafroannnie Posts: 12,995
I have to spike different levels of Chlamydia and Gonorrhea in it..and then test it on our new instrument to determine the "limit of detection"...so exciting

Yup, I watch movies all day and I have really nice colleagues.

What book are you reading at the moment?
  • afroannnieafroannnie Posts: 12,995
The Pearl Jam book and The Girl Who Played With Fire.

    Who's your fave author?

I don't really have a fave author, but I tend to read more men than women. I really liked the stuff by Doulas Coupland, some Hunter S. Thompson, and I read a lot of German authors as well. And I'm still chewing on that beast Infinite Jest by David Foster Wallace...
