It would have to be a lot of money, but if by some miracle I did. The most money that I've won was $2000. on a scratch ticket... I'd volunteer my time to help people out... "pay it forward"

set up my son and nephews with properties and education funds, give money to my parents to renovate or buy a new place... and for putting up with my crap all these years. Buy a house for myself and give some money to the RSPCA and the guide dogs.

I only have a dwarf hamster, would love a dog or/and cat.

He's of an age where the suggestion that I get someone to look after him would be met with hilarity. So his PS3 is looking after him :? Not to make excuses for abandoning my son, but he is pretty good responsibility wise, he can make his own lunch, knows how to sort things out if there's a problem plus I'm only a mile away and always have my mobile with me. I feel really guilty now, like an incredibly bad mother :( I wouldn't leave him on his own all day, everyday, or night.

Am I an appaling mother?

I don't know now, before we split up in our mid 20's he had a thing with someone, but not sex, I punched him in the face (after asking permission to do so), I don't know now. We were talking about the same thing the other day and he reckoned that's it, over, as soon as someone sleeps with someone else. I don't know though - if it's just one night of sex with no emotional attachement at all, person never seen again, I think that I would find that easier to forgive than if he fell in love with someone but never slept with her. Hell, guess until you're in that situation you just don't know.
