green beans are a favorite. tried to grow some last year but the rabbits got to them and the peas. i'm ready to go with rabbit fencing this year.
black beans are also a favorite in a home made salsa i make, and when i make burritos. i made an avocado salad the other night with them as well. it turned out great.

Do you make an extra large portion and freeze half?
Ha no! The recipe i have makes 8 servings so that's quite enough to make and freeze without doubling. I don't have a kettle big enough to make a double batch. Last time I made it I used tomatoes from my garden that I had canned last fall. I had to add way more salt than I'm used to. I guess the canned tomatoes I buy at the store are so packed with salt that I didn't realize it.
