I'll never know who the fuck you are anymore. I hated it when people chose new names when this board started. Norm, will always be cutback to me. And I still think of Decidestodream as DreamNcolor.

It seems for many go through phases with this board. Remember SoLaTisTa or whatever his name was.. he had like 20,000 posts in a year, and then disappeared.

When the board changed they had a new name and number for me. I got the old name back and the old number. The new number was in the 5000 series and had 2 letters that happened to be my initials in front of the number, did this happen to any of you. I imagine if it did there was a big hoopla about it, if there was, can someone give me the short version of the story and what the new number meant Sandy

The number auto generated in (what was) your new bbs user name had nothing to do with your 10c membership number.

That happened because when they merged the old board user accounts up with the 10cuser accounts, if you had two different e-mail addresses (lone for the Message pit and a different one for your 10C account), they had trouble merging your accounts together when they moved here. So at first, you had an auto generated message pit account to attach to your active 10c membership.

i have no need/desire to change my name now....back then, i did have reason.
and i've finally gotten used to cutback being norm now, took me awhile....

(besides, i was dreamncolor, what...2-3 years? 2002-2005. so i've actually been decides2dream longer at this point, and i shall remain as such. tho with the board switchover, i was dreamncolor once more for a short time. )

yeah well cutback was lame (well i hated it) and being called cutback in crowd is weird...it was much better last night hearing "NORM" when pjtrixie saw me...my friends have been calling me that for over 20 years

and at least for the first few months i said who i was previously in my sig...i wish more people would do that...shit is getting confusing!!!

yes! It never ceases to amaze me that some people here can see a post by someone and tell me ten different user names that poster has had over the years. Only posters with the most recognizable prose stand out like that to me. I've only changed my name once, four years ago...
