Yeah, I am not a big fan of Bon Jovi's music, but let's not say he deserves to be "shitted" or hated upon - obviously, millions of people are moved by his music like we all are by Pearl Jam. it's silly to espouse your small minded opinion as fact. lots of other small minded people say Pearl Jam's music sucks too. how about giving a guy props for holding together a commercially successful rock group for over 25 yrs. That in and of itself is an accomplishment, and then on top of it he's stayed with the same woman his entire life, and is a very philanthropic entertainer. it's ok to not dig his music, but there's no denying that he's an admirable guy. He and Ed may have some type of rivalry or distaste for one another, that's fine too. Both have done a trememdous amount of good in this world just through music alone. That's pretty cool.
The "Bon Jovi sucks" argument was relevant when we were twelve. It's just music. He writes catchy, mainstream tunes and is successful at it. More power to him. I'll just change the station.
I didn't realize that we are all supposed to "respect" Bon Jovi for what he has accomplished. While we're at it, let's start a thread about the merits of Poison, Winger and Slaughter. I'm sure they're great guys who deserve to be loved too. Brett Micheals donated to the Salvation Army once...

No, but it makes us look like brats when we bitch about him.. We get it. Bon Jovi sucks. Stop listening to him and you people won't know how bad he sucks!
I love when people here bitch about certain pop music acts these days.. I can honestly say, I don't even listen, so I wouldn't even know.

TBS is using his horrible new song as sports bumper music...
"U gotta stand up for what you BELIEVE! I say yeah, yeah, yeah, oh yeah..."
That's fucking poetry, and I love having it crammed down my throat every 15 minutes.

Kind of like...
"U gotta fight to get it back AGAIN! Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah..."
but come to think of it, when i was a young kid long long ago, i used to skate all over the place while listening to Bon Jovi! i mean, come on! i NEVER got into Rancid, Black Flag, Agent Orange, Suicidal Tenancies, NOFX, Minor Threat, The Offspring, Pennywise, Ramones, MC5, Dole Q, The Jermz, Lagwagon, Guttermouth, or Dead Kennedys. i solely listened to Bon Jovi!

One of those things don't belong. The Offspring belong on the same list as Bon Jovi.
I don't like their "music" at all but I have to give them credit for at least being able to play instruments. Thats more than most of the "talent" being manufactured by record labels these days.
Didnt they make like a bon jovi movie or something along those lines with kevin bacon in it? I remember i saw something on either max or vh1 a few years back he gives music and love a bad name, think the only thing i respect about him is that he's still around putting music out. Like it or not it's something tough in today's industries with many artists getting swallowed up.....james blunt anyone?
Besides maybe not liking his music, what has Bon Jovi ever done to be hated?
Personally, I have never been a big fan. But always appreciated him for his craft and what he has done. "Wanted Dead or Alive" is a great song from a fantastic movie, Young Guns. And now it has a whole new life as the theme song for an awesome show, Deadliest Catch!! And Richie Sambora is an incredibly talented guitar player, as well as a pretty good singer his own self.
So we're not allowed to make fun of crappy bands now, because god forbid we might be disrespecting Jon Bon Jovi's honor? And since when did we judge celebrities' artistic merits based on all the nice things they've done for starving children in Africa? You people are soft. It's okay to admit that Bon Jovi sucks a nut. It won't make you any more or less "mature" or "PC".
anybody heard 2 Skinnee J's cover "Dead or Alive"?
haha it's great.
never been a big bon jovi fan, but never hated him either. But I do tell you, that "have a nice day" song was absolutely terrible.
"All I Ever Knew" available now in print and digital formats at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iBooks.
Courtney love, eddie vedder, and layne staley. I dont get the point of this video at all.
And how do we know he hates bon jovi????
It's a Scott Weiland impersonator actually, not a Layne Staley impersonator.
That's even worse. That's like a soda company trying to copy Diet Coke and not the original Coke.
Mr. Pibb is a bullshit replica of Dr. Pepper....dude didn't even earn his degree................why'd you have to drop out of school and make pop so fast?????!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 80's was the WORST decade in music history. To me, that's fact.

maybe not over. But it definitely delayed him putting the new wing on his girl-hair shaped house.
