Courtney Michelle Love (born Courtney Michelle Harrison on July 9, 1964) is an American rock musician and actress. Love is known as lead singer and lyricist for the alternative rock band Hole and for her two-year marriage to the late Nirvana singer/guitarist Kurt Cobain. Rolling Stone called Love “the most controversial woman in the history of rock”.

a video from like 15 years ago......plus she wrote to Rolling Stone to defend Ed after they wrote a really harsh piece on him, I think she made amends.
Her voice is absolutely spine-tingling good at the end of this song.

I was in the audience for this one, Hole were incredible. Courtney was in damn good shape here, it's a shame that she lost the plot a couple of years later.
It does have to be said that at the time she did that, Pearl Jam were essentially seen as the Linkin Park of their day. They sold boat loads and were in everyone's face, hell, even Eddie Vedder said that he thought bands like Mudhoney were much better than PJ at the time. Like I said before, Courtney, and just about everybody else, realised after a few years that PJ were actually a very real band made up of decent people - hence she wrote into Rolling Stone to defend Ed after they slagged him off.
sorry but the majority of people that dont like linkin park isnt cause they are huge, sell alot or are in my face but because their music is shit. Pearl Jam was very big back in the day but so was fucking Nirvana and pearl jams music wasnt shit at all. If anything its a jealousy thing for why courtney hated pearl jam it was like "cool" to hate pearl jam

Sure, her music sucks and she's a crackhead, but get over it man. Nobody's even mentioned her in years, she's a nobody. If she's still bothering you this much, you might have some issues to work out. It was 15 years ago, let it go. And calling something gay is pretty juvenile man. We're not on the 6th grade playground here.

Linkin Park was an example, any rock band who gets that huge is up for criticism, no matter how good they are. And in fact, Pearl Jam were bigger than Nirvana back then, and did get labeled as the cock-rock 'grunge' band. Obviously they went on to prove that they were more than just an update on classic rock, but I can see why some people wouldn't have seen it at the time.
Oh, and I must disagree, Courtney has written some incredible lyrics, and Hole's last two albums were damn near perfect.
