Who's got info on LA 1? Start time, ticket pick up, etc

I'm headed to the show tonight and just looking for some general info from those who were lucky enough to go last night.

What time did PJ take the stage last night?
Any issues with ten club ticket pick up?
Anything out of the ordinary I should plan for, besides traffic?

As the "official" relayer for tonight's show, I want to make sure I'm on top of my game.

  • PJ came on at 8:40

PIcked up tickets around 5:45 last night. No line for pickup. When we went into the venue at 7:15, the line was about 15 people deep. Get there early if you don't want to miss Ben Harper. They only had 2 windows for fan club tickets.

PAY THE $20 FOR PREMIER PARKING! It's a bargain. I mean that. I've NEVER done that at a show before but read about it on Yelp and decided to go for it. Well worth it.

They didn't check for cameras, pat you down, or anything else before getting into the venue.

Great info. Thanks. I will definitely go for the premier parking since time will be of the essence. No way I'll make it for Ben Harper unfortunately.
  • You're welcome. And if you know of anybody that has an extra, let me know!

Thanks for being the relayer too. You guys are appreciated...

Thank you for the tip. I was checking out Yelp at your suggestion and found a pretty funny review from the guy who went to Lil Wayne and complained that people were smoking weed... :o  Seriously?

How were the FC seats yesterday? The info on touringfans is spotty - I guess because they didnt have as many pairs as normal.
  • 4th row pit, dead center for me.

I had no issues last night.

Parked around 5:45 in $10 parking and had a 5 minute walk or less. $20 parking must be directly beside the venue if it was that well worth it!

My buddies 10C number was in the 200xxx area and we had seats in ORC 5 and were 12 rows from the stage.

oh and by the way... GREAT SOUND

Haha, thanks for the added pressure. My phone is off for the day while I'm at work(yeah working really hard today....) and I'll be charging it on my ridiculous drive to the venue later.

I should be good on battery life. The only issue that could come up is reception. I have an iPhone and it wouldn't be the first time I inexplicably didn't have service somewhere.

I had no hassles with general parking. It was three minutes to the venue from the car. I've never had a problem with general parking at CityWalk. There's no need to pay 20 bucks to park.

I walked up to the Ten Club window at 6:50 p.m. There was no line for A-L, and 3 people for M-Z.

Pearl Jam took the stage at 8:40 p.m. and finished at 10:47 p.m.

The biggest hassle is the bottleneck of people exiting the venue. Everyone merges into a relatively narrow walkway which is the only way out.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.

I've sat in that parking structure before for over an hour waiting to leave after a show. With 4 of us in the car last night to split the cost, how close you park to the entrace of the venue, and the ease of exit....we'd do it again.

  • I'm spending the $20 on the vip parking. No doubt. That's actually pretty affordable as far as parking goes for a city like LA. I've paid more to park on some guy's lawn a half mile from the Georgia Dome before.

do it...the parking structure next to the gibson was closed and they were sending everyone to the citywalk structure...the preferred parking was right next to citywalk and is as close as you'll get...but they're small spaces so to those that are driving the big-ass pickups, suv's be warned
  • No worries here. My TL will fit nicely into those little spaces.

Well, there didn't seem to be any problem last night. I shot right out of there from the third level.

And the same thing last night. As I mentioned elsewhere, the last note of "Yellow Ledbetter" sounded at 10:45 p.m., and I was pulling into my garage 13 minutes later.

Otherwise known as "me" last night. It's a tough, grueling job but somebody has to do it.

Thank you all for the clarification.

Yes, a relayer sounds like a really tough job. I know I wouldn't be able to do it. I can't be distracted from the show!

Last night's show was so incredible. Freakin' amazing. I am still buzzing! :-)
