I dont buy too much PJ on ebay, but I always check the value of my vinyl collection in the world of ebay. ( Both PJ and non-PJ vinyl) On 9/25, two copies of ITW sold for $500 or higher :o with another going for $400 on 9/28. How did it roughly double in value in such a short amount of time? Did the release of Backspacer affect it that much? I had to pay like $75 for my sealed copy maybe 1 1/2 years ago. How high will this LP go for? :)

I noticed this trend as agree it is very odd that it could spike that much. for a pressing of 2000 its hard to believe a single LP could get up to $500, but I guess who knows. if that is the case think what it may be worth in 20 or 30 years??? but who cares, its about the music.
  • so then, what is your comment on the $500+ orange FIXER singles?????????

How many were pressed of those? 100 or less? Promo or not? I think there is no price too high for a completist. I'm just happy with my white vinyl fixer.

  • I am lucky enough to own all three versions and I can 100% honestly say that I am happiest with the UK 180 gram version

I had to check to see if people actually were stupid enough to pay that much for it, and sadly yes, yes they are.

...i paid around $22 bucks for the ITW LP a couple of months ago, at that time it was normally sold for $200, and I thought that i made the the deal of the decade... now i know i made the deal of the century!

It'll go back down. With people noticing that it is going for $500, they've begun to put more and more up. The other day when reading a thread there were only 2 LP's up. Now there are 4. So more people will think they are going to get $500 for theirs and put them on ebay, but that will bring the price down. I really don't think there is that big of a demand for them right now.
I shit and I stink. I'm real, join the club.

A friend, he called, I didn't mention a thing. The last thing he said was, "Be sound". Sound. I contemplated an awful thing, I hate to admit. I just thought those would be such appropriate last words. But I'm still here.

I have an unsealed vinyl copy of "Into The Wild," signed by Eddie on the front cover. I would never sell it, but I'm curious as to what people think it would be worth. Is it worth less because it's unsealed?

I bought mine in summer of 08 for $200 sealed. I opened it and play it on occasion and I am glad I got my hands on one before the price got too out of control. I could see this thing going for $1,000 in 10-15 years.

The value would be roughly doubled for the signature as long as it was verified (PSA/DNA) as a real one and not fake, or looked so genuine it couldn't be fake. I got a promo album flat "signed by Eddie" for $1 last spring on ebay because it didn't look as good as a usual for his signature. Signature values are tricky because Eddie's is getting more common these days.
