One of my many hobbies is drag racing. It's just something I've done for a number of years, and it's actually something my whole family participates in together. I've developed a lot of good friends over the years. It's not the "redneck" rodeo that many people think it is. The sport is made up of extremely talented and intelligent individuals.

I saw posted today on a website that I frequent that a very good friend of mine, who has served as the starting line official at one of the oldest dragstrips in Texas is in very very bad shape right now. He's been in the hospital with severe pneumonia for over a week. During that week, he also suffered a heart attack. He is probably going to lose his job, and the insurance coverage he has is going to run out soon. I don't want this to be a debate about health care please. I just want to let people know that they are doing a fund raiser for him, just to give a little help. I know this is not anything PJ related, and I know this is just another sad story to most of us. I guess this is just a close friend of mine, and I wanted to pass the word along. You can find more details about the situation as well as information if you want to donate here - http://www.texasbracketracing.com
