is there a difference in the sound quality between getting the CD made for the 2008 boots and the digital download of the MP3s? I know FLAC is the better quality, but is there a 2nd best between the CD and the digital download?

Yes the cd's will have much better quality than mp3's. Although it depends where you listen to them. If you listen to them on a shitty car stereo or on your computer you won't notice too much of a difference, but if you have a decent home stereo you can notice a huge difference.

It's my understanding that FLAC and the cd's will sound the same. You basically pay the extra $2 plus shipping just for artwork, and having someone burn the music into disks for you.

The FLAC download is exactly the same as the CD as both will be WAV files, the mp3 download is the worst of the 3.

alright cool, so if I rip the CDs to a computer does that make the quality better or worse than the digital download? (sorry for all the questions just a little confused)

if you rip a cd, you'll have mp3, so it will be the same quality as the downlaods from 10C.

He could just rip them into flac. There's not really much noticable difference between 320 mp3's and FLAC anyway.

yeah, you can rip the CD to WAV files which is what FLAC convert to so no difference there. If your ripping CD to mp3 then just about the same as mp3 download. If your an audiophile like me you can definately tell the difference between WAV (FLAC) and mp3.

I'm not evolved enough to tell the difference between FLAC and MP3. But I ordered the Roo on CD for the physical product.
