    "Dia-" means across. A spore in this case is a seed. So, "diaspora" literally means seeds that have been spread across a space. Figuratively, diaspora are the seeds or offspring of a race, scattered beyond their place of origin. For example, I'm here in England of Irish origin: I am the seed of a union between Irish parents, so I am diaspora.

    Thanks Fin; I asked my Mum and she said something similar - adverb and verb 'spread', 'throughout'; like the Jewish and Irish diaspora.

    Women always want to have the final fucking word though; it's driving me crazy.

    This thread is about my madness and me trying to find a way back to health and sanity. I need a bit of help though!
