It's the tune from the Beacon last year. He met the family in D.C. or something. Listen to the beacon boot and he'll explain it.

This is exactly what it's from. The song was written by the kids' of a Marine...it's titled 'Make a Difference'. The family was present at the EV solo show in DC. EV didn't play the song himself, he played a recorded version of the kids singing (he did a sweet dance to the music)...then he brought them on stage to introduce them later on in the show.

I wasn't complaining about him playing it...just check the song count from that night. EV played 29 songs (including Unthought Known for the 2nd time ever -- got to see it in Newark the first time)

Well first off, this was just Ed, not a Pearl Jam thing. And second, you have a problem with Ed doing something for kids? He has two of his own ya know. I think it would be cool if he (or the whole band) did do a Sesame Street episode. Or too bad The Muppet Show isn't on anymore, that would be cool to see them on that show too.

That's right - now I remember the recorded version...thanks for refreshing my memory, and the dance was sweet, one of his little jiggs and twists...this was the saturday night show right? The 16th? Maybe he did it both nights -

The second night in DC, the whole family was sitting in the front of the balcony, still wearing their EV shirts. I stopped by to tell them congratulations, and I wasn't alone.
It was obvious later, after I saw the Pancake Mountain video, that they had filmed the clip that afternoon, and then got to stay for the show.
