don't know who it was, but pretty bad taste if you ask me...
going apeshit on the security guards trying to get picks and setlists etc after the show, yelling at them about their "$8 an hour jobs"...
they gave some of us rocking out in the isles a bit of a hard time, but overall were very nice when they talked to me...

did anyone else see this guy? weirded me out.

oh and by the way, i know someone who talked to the security guard very politely during the post show lingering, the security guard ended up coming outside near the merch booth and when she recognized him, she opened up her hand and revealed an ED PICK! his for the taking... shows what karma and politeness does. ;)

what's worse is when a fellow fan freaks out when she doesn't approve of other fans being given a setlist, drumsticks, etc. after the show, which naturally she felt she "deserved", and proceeds to tell off her fellow fans and cursing both the fans and the PJ crew member.

of course i won't mention her name here,...

  • I was right up front when that happened. The comment was really dumb. Those guys are working a job and just wanted to go home as anyone would after working thier shift. Too bad people feel they need to make a job more difficult. I expect more from PJ fans!

  • yep pretty disgusting behavior there i agree. pretty much stands against everything the touring fans community spirit is about, in both cases mentioned in this thread.

What an insulting thing to say to anyone. Does he not remember many members of the band worked minimum wage jobs at one time, as many of us have? Work is work. All work deserves respect. Makes PJ fans look bad when someone acts like that.

who's not to say that some of the people this guy considers "friends" directly around him and in ear shot at the show, dont have 8$ an hour jobs? he must have said it at least 10 times, yelling it out. he had security, threatening to forceably remove him, many times. he was just a complete jackass.

im pretty sure he is one of those guys ed talks about in the lost dogs booklet when describing "hitchhiker" yknow? the bluepenners. he makes his living collecting and selling autographs, im convinced of it. i know this guy too, but sorry, bro. after showing me your true colors in portland, forget it.
im not gonna call him out and start an angry mob witch hunt with him by telling people his pit name, but people will catch on to his bullshit soon enough.

That is exactly how I feel, its pathetic when reviewers get spammed for a bad review of backspacer or when someone rips another person off and then has their address, email and phone number posted, its just pathetic to out people like that.

  • The best thing about this whole thing was all the people freeking our because there was a pick that had fallen between the grates of the barricade. So this guy and a couple of others were going nust because they could not get to a pick. Did they want to wait around till the crew moved the barricade? They could not have done that while they were STANDING ON THE BARRICADE!

some of the security guards were just SHAKING with rage and their bosses were like "just calm down, they'll leave soon." i was up front close too, still milling around with friends. i knew it was ridiculous how crazy we go for picks sometimes and i dont think security had ever seen anything like it. people on their knees trying to get at them and stuff. it was a funny site. a security guard looked at me with this look like, "kill me now" and me being right in front of him started a "GIVE US THE PICKS! GIVE US THE PICKS!" chant for two bars, and he totally burst out laughing and i made his mood better and grabbed his shoulder and said" im totally kidding dude" we both recognized the hilarity of the situation. good times

Agree about the reviews, but if somebody comes on here and screws somebody over, they deserve it.

Watch out for faithful227, if that's stil his handle.

The thing is they wont let you stay in the amphitheater until all the barricades are taken down, they want you to leave right away.

Also, there is a huge difference between trying to get a pick out from some grates below a barricade on the floor and screaming and yelling at a security guard in an absolute rage.

Too bad the security couldn't work the guy over outside the venue.

that would be called " going a different route".

    as in
" I am asking you to comply one last time and leave, or we will be going a different route."

they threatened him with that twice and he walked away still beaking off.

I wonder if security guards ever get in trouble for rocking out during the show and not paying attention to the fans... god knows I would.
    Writing checks that others pay.....

  • I expect more from PJ fans!

why is that? I'm sure PJ have as many assholes as fans as any band does. Look at this board half the time.
