So my wife is dragging me to see Pink on Monday.

What should I expect? I feel a little strange going to a Pink show.

Has anyone seen her?

i'm seeing Pearl Jam twice this week though :D
“I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version.”
  • i wouldn't be all down on it...i bet she puts on quite a show...i can't say i'm a fan, but i watched her Behind the Music the other day and she seems okay with some catchy, angry girl rock

Pink put on a good show at the MTV awards which are usually pretty bad. You should youtube it. I'm not a fan of her music but I like her attitude, she was on Stern once and was real cool.
  • never seen her, but i hear she puts on a good show.

she just finished a SOLD OUT 58 show arena tour in australia

a 10 show tour might be normal out here for a big artist, a few cities with 2 shows, but 58 :o
    2003 - Sydney x3,
    2006 - Reading Festival,
2007 - Katowice, London, Nijmegen, Rock Werchter,
    2008 - MSG x2, Hartford, Mansfield x2, Beacon Theater,
    2009 - Melbourne, Sydney,
2010 - I watched it go to fire!
    2011 - EV Brisbane x3, Newcastle, Sydney x3,
    2012 - Manchester x 2, Amsterdam x2, Prague, Berlin x2, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen,
    2014 - Sydney, EV Sydney x3

I wave to all my Friends... Yeah!
  • I was dragged along by my wife to see her final show in Perth a month or two ago and was pleasantly surprised by the show rather than the music. Lots of glitz and glamour.

The highlight for me was a Led Zep song. Apparently the night before was a bit of a dud and she just sat and sang most of the time, but that was towards the end of her Australian tour so hopefully she should be refreshed and ready to go again.

Just sit back and do your duty.
Now I'm livin' out here on the beach,
but those seagulls are still out of reach.
  • I was asked to go to her show Saturday in philly... for free.... hmmm not sure. :?

I'm just afraid i'll get a shitty song stuck in my head.... but hey I'd do anything for my cousin... I already endured Maroon5 for her, what's a Pink concert in comparison :P

I took my niece to see Pink a few years. She was actually very good.I had never been to a pop show before.
There was a lot going on,dancers, spinning, props etc but she has a decent voice and did beautiful acoustic cover's of Janice Joplin's Me and Bobby McGee and Mercedes Benz.
I would go see her again with a much more open mind.

I saw her at a festival a couple of years ago. Great fun. She knows how to put on a show. Good, solid pop songs, and she knows how to entertain a crowd. I enjoyed it.

Don't feel like you have to justify the fact that you're seeing something other than PJ or what the masses qualify as "good music". I've never seen her before but I surely would if presented with the chance. Fantastic voice with balls to boot. Rock on and enjoy.

I would rather jam a stick in my dick hole

I can't comprehend how people could possibly enjoy pearl jam for their honest, passionate music, and then claim Pink would be a show worth seeing. You may as well go to a 50 cent or Avril Lavigne concert.
    I mean, seriously, Pink?

Seriously narrow view you got there. She's a pop act and doesn't pretend to be anything else. Don't knock it if you haven't seen it. I doubt I'd go out to buy tickets solely for her show. The music aint really my bag, but I saw her at a festival and I'm not too much of a musical snob to say I really enjoyed it. Damn good show.
And I'll add on to that, I've seen a few pop acts over time at various award shows, festivals etc and I've enjoyed a fair amount of them. I don't know why people think liking pop music is something to be ashamed of. Sure there's a hell of a lot of crap out there that offends my ears, but there's good stuff too.

Hopefully his view is the only thing that's narrow. Ouch.

I'm pretty sure there isn't a show on this planet that I would jam a stick in my dick to skip. But that's just me and maybe I've got a sensitive tallywacker. ;)
