Release the second single soon!!!

After Backspacer reached the #1 spot in the US, NZ and Australia, and sells good numbers everywhere else too, they should release a second single soon. Otherwise, the album could die (saleswise) after a few weeks.
A good 2nd single is important now.
I see two candidates:
Force of Nature - The best song on Backspacer, which would get tons of airplay on rock radio.
Just Breathe - It has the biggest potential of becoming a radio hit. It will reach a wider audience since it won't just be played on rock radio.
I hope they go for JB as 2nd single, followed by FoN as 3rd release.

The other really good ones on the record... Amongst and Unthought... have too long a build for radio. A common problem with PJ epic tracks.
It would be even more effective if they also released Just Breathe as a single on TOP 40 Radio simultaneously. This song has hit potential and the only way to increase sales is to have a CROSSOVER hit. This will achieve this.
If the Fixer is the only single, the ablum falls out of the Billboard 200 in 4 weeks. Just saying.
But, unlike Just Breathe, it won't have a big impact on non-Pearl Jam fans.
That is a great idea!
The release of both songs simultaneously would cover a lot of potential listeners.

Unthought Known, Amongst the Waves and Just Breathe were among the songs added at the Triple A format this week. Amongst the Waves received the most (4) including WXRT in Chicago.

agreed...
Spin the Black Circle
Who You Are
Nothing As It Seems
Save You
Love Boat Captain
Life Wasted
Gone
Some would say World Wide Suicide, though I liked it.
And some people think they released bad singles on purpose to curve their popularity.

I for the most part agree with you here....
Who you are was flat out weird as a single.
Nothing as it seems. Very Bad single choice.
Save you ... sorta bad but that song kinda rocks. Not their best. Definitely not the best on that album.
WORST SINGLE EVER GOES TO... Nothing as it seems.

Not a great song... although sometimes cool cuz it's eerie and weird. But for the most part not one of my favorites... but there are versions that are dope... Like Bennyroya.

FACT. That is the easiest record to throw on to try and win over any non Pearl Jam fan. My mom was even like... "wow... he has a really strong voice." She has zero music taste btw.
