What time does PJ take the stage?

I am going to the Pearl Jam show on Oct 1 at Universal and was wondering if you have ideas of when to expect Pearl Jam on stage. I am meeting a friend that has a long drive through traffic and need to know what the cutoff point is before I just have to go in. Any ideas?

    I believe it's been around 8:30 - 8:45 local time ... they play until about 11.

    Venues may vary.

The LA shows are listed at 7:15PM, while most of the shows already played were listed as 7:30. So you might want to keep that in mind, they may come on a little earlier.

In Seattle, Ben Harper took the stage at precisely 7:30 p.m., and Pearl Jam followed within one or two minutes of 8:50 p.m.

In L.A., Ben Harper is supposed to go on at 7:15 p.m., so I'd figure on Pearl Jam going on at about 8:35 p.m.
I gather speed from you fucking with me.
  • Kind of ridiculous that the start time is earlier in LA, or at least advertised that way. I sure hope the traffic gods are on our side.

    Probably dictated by the venues.

  • I didn't get 10c tix for LA and just got an e-mail from LiveNation 'alerting' me to the 7:15 start time. I'm guessing they are going to be punctual - LA traffic or not.
    Why go home?
  • I dont think traffic really enters into bands minds when it comes to this. I saw Rush at the Hollywood Bowl and they walked on stage at 7 30. Anyone who has tried to take the exit for the bowl knows it can take about an hour just to leave the offramp.

Fortunately I dont think Universal will be AS crowded.

  • The Hollywood Bowl is nuts. I'm glad I did my research and didn't attempt to park at the venue. It was way more convenient to park at Hollywood Blvd and make the long walk up the hill.

You can also park at Hollywood & Highland for $2 and grab a shuttle up to the Bowl.

  • Thanks for the replied everyone. I will be sure to be in my seat by 8:30 - hopefully much sooner.

    Thanks again.

Last night, the piano music began around 8:40. A few minutes later, Why Go tore the crowd up.
