I honestly forgot all about this concert download thing, what with the excitement of the new album itself. i mean, who really gives a crap about a concert that we've probably heard already, anyway. but just for clarification, are there free concert downloads with the 10 Club version?

  • Apparently there was an email sent out a week or so ago (that I never received) telling us to stay tuned for the free concert downloads if you ordered the 10C version. I don't see how they could not include this freebie to their fan club!

my 10club cd has a box for free concert download as of today I have still not tried to download one of the concerts but there is a box that when you put the cd in your computer shows that it is for concert downloads, so I am thinking that there are free concert downloads with the cd.

There are 2 free concert downloads if you buy the CD from Target...HOWEVER...the set lists are edited to exclude the cover songs, so I'm not downloading them. I found out Chicago 2 06 didn't have Crown of Thorns and was like, "Huh?!"

This is what the support team told me when I inquired about the 10C downloads:

    "Hello.

Thank you for your email. The Target version of the CD and the iTunes version
contain 2 free concert downloads chosen from a list of 11 PJ shows. Stay tuned
for details on free concert downloads from the vault through the Ten Club
    version of the CD.

    Best regards,

  • Would it have killed them to MAYBE have had these ready for when the cd came out? The Target shows have been available since day 1. I wonder what the hold up is?

I'm hoping maybe some 09 shows might be our reward for the delay. I know it probably won't happen, but I can dream can't I?

I don't think the box is free dl's...it just says concert downloads and it brings you to the 2008 bootlegs that are available for purchase.

  • It sort of silly because all of those shows are available elsewhere, anyway.

It's probably a "timed exclusive" situation to give fans a reason to buy it at Target. Let's not forget that Target threw a bunch of money at them for this deal, so they needed some leverage.

Ditto. Totally dissapointed. All the shows they chose have covers too. I figure that the songs would have been able to be used just like a regular bootleg. By editing the covers pj doesn't have to pay royalties fees to the original artists is my guess. Bummer. Closest full show appears to be the Mansfield 6/28/08 show.

I suspect that you just nailed it with this observation.
