hopefully it works well, and I get a call back, knock on wood.

The job is pretty perfect for me. I love the library, in fact I live right by it, and spend a ton of time there, and my previous job is pretty much exactly what they are looking for, customer service, putting books on shelves, putting requests in etc... Sounds strikingly similar to my grocery job.

Plus working in a library seems way more low key than a busy, grocery store.

Heres to hoping...

did I mention they job allows beards and long hair, and uniforms are just street clothes, clean and no holes of course, but in many ways this is the exact opposite of my other job. which was regimented and very professional

I used to shelve books in a library. Some places would even let you listen to headphones while you did (not mine though). Perfect job for being stoned... you aren't expected to talk to anyone.

How many questions were there about the Dewey Decimal System?

DId you have to answer your questions quietly?

When it came time for you to ask questions, did you ask anything about Ghosts in the basement stacking books...like in Ghostbusters?

You should send them a thank you note telling them how excited you would be to join their team and add value to the system in place.

For the two posters above hang in there. I work in the staffing industry and it is horrible right now. Don't let it get to you as it is nothing personal about you just an indication of how bad it is.

    Best of luck to all.

The industry must have started sucking a while ago...a staffing agency in Georgia couldn't help me worth a shit in 2007.
