Double tracked and echoed vocals

At the Seattle shows, and on this record I am hearing alot of double tracked vocals, echoed vocals, and cant remember any other album where this has been prevelant. Am I missing something here?
At the Seattle shows, when Ed would speak between songs, many times at first he would sound echoed, and then the sound guy would rush to make his vocals more normal sounding. Again, is this something new at PJ shows, where Ed's vocals are echoed?

On album, there totally is. I think there is even some auto tuning going on for The Fixer when he sings "yea yea yeaaaaUHHHUHHH"
In Hartford 08 there was definitely some echoes going on during N4U and Daughter.
