My Yankees are in!! It seems like Eddie called it for the Yankees: "Fight to get it back again!" to get the AL East back. Let's go Yankees!!

Just realized I'm gonna be away(far away) from the Yankees as they begin their quest for #27 :(

I have an 8-1 record at playoff games I attend

They are gonna have to find away as im on the West Coast, taken in 3 PJ gigs and a whole bunch of other fun stuff

When I get back, hopefully we will advance to the ALCS, and going to a game or two will help in Post show syndrome

If not Philly 3+4 might have the remedy ;)

    Go Yanks

    You can dooooooo it

    Al Central:
    Detroit Tigers
    Minnesota Twins; 2.5 GB

These two play each other at Comerica the next 4 nights... could be interesting! I'm terrified the Tigers are going to blow it...

with a week to go I think you have to like the Yankees-Cardinals for the series. My Phillies bullpen is in such tatters it doesn't bode well for the playoffs. hope im wrong but i'm not seeing it from the Phils. I don't think they can blow a 5 game lead with 7 to go though...

Tonight's game got postponed because of rain.
Day/night double header tomorrow with Porcello tossing in the first game and Verlander going in the second.

I skipping out on work Thursday to go catch the afternoon game at Comerica. Hoping for it to be epic.

Everybody should root against the Braves if you're not a fan of theirs. If they make the playoffs it will be the biggest comeback to make the playoffs in the history of major league baseball. They will then obviously be the hottest team in the league to start the playoffs and they have very good starting pitching. If they make the playoffs I would not be at all surprised if they won the NL pennant.

They'll be screwed then though. It happened to the Tigers 2-3 seasons back and the Rockies last year... team goes into the playoffs, tears through the playoffs, then sits a week waiting for the other league to finish and goes cold, only to end up being embarrassed in the actual series.

Here's hoping Boston gets embarrassed and eliminated early on.
  • Braves will make it in, i hope they get it from them suckas phillies, and the Rockies won 21 of their last 22(did not fact check, but close enough as i remember) games last year to force a one game playoff which they won, then swept the first round
  • Lets Go Dodgers!

Gonna be a tough team to beat. Carpenter-Wainwright-Piniero has been one hell of a trio since July 1. Wainwright should win the Cy Young. Amazing lineup with plenty of experience to offset the playoff jitters some of the young guys might get.

I am hoping the Angels don't break my heart yet again......it is so difficult to enjoy an entire season of baseball, then see it come to a crashing halt year after year in October.

5-0... Inge may not be playing like an all star all the time after the break, but he sure as hell comes through in the clutch now and again.
