Hope TenClub doesn't kick me out....

but I'm probably the last person in the 10 Club to listen to the album. I pre-ordered it a while back, then scheduled a vacation the week it came out! Just got home, and it was waiting on me. Gonna sit in the dark, and listen to it in its entirety right now!

My friend was going to see Eddie last night. Since he was in Vegas, I gave him 5 Grand to gamble with. I told him I wanted it all to go on Black. Bastard! PhillyCrownOfThorns-11-2-12

Luckily I did have a chance to hear here and there the songs...but...well...my day will come

I totally thought it was Wishlist at the beginning then I realized that the riff is different
Why sit in the dark? Save the sitting in the dark for the new Alice in Chains album. I'm not a big Backspacer fan, but even I gotta admit it's a nice sunny day album.

I wouldn't call it a new Alice In Chains record. It's just another Jerry Cantrell record, IMO. God forbid if somebody take's the spot of Ed, you can not call it Pearl Jam. Pearl Jam is Eddie Vedder. Alice In Chains is Layne Stanley. That's it!
So what shall we rename AC/DC then?
for the least they could possibly do

I think it was just as much Jerry's band as it was Layne's.

Don't say this in front of Krist Novoselic, cause he might aswell bring back Nirvana! When the world know's your hits, seen your videos, you've smashed number 1 hits on the chart , become famous all over the world, deeply moved & helped fan's out for year's, they know who you are. The look & name of the singer (well, hopefully 50% do). When a death happens and it's the "main singer" of the band, it doesn't just impact the fan's around the world, but the band big time. Let the name of the band, rest. I wonder, did Stone & Jeff ask themselves, 'hey, why not find another Andy Wood so we can continue Mother Love Bone.' You will never find another Andy Wood. You won't find another Jim Morrision. Or a Kurt Cobain. You don't! If you want to continue playing music, start up another band. If you got the other member's in the band, find a frontman but don't keep the same band name. IMO! .. Sorry, I loved Layne Staley so much. :( To see the other member's tour & using the same name with a different singer, doesn't sit well with me. Alice in Chains to me was Layne Staley! If something happened to Ed, would you be ok to see Pearl Jam live with a different singer? I doubt it!
The Krist Novelslic comparison isn't a good one because he did nothing but play bass. Jerry wrote and sang a lot for Alice In Chains. I'm not a big enough AIC fan to really care but I know where you're coming from.

I agree, it's not really AIC, but it worked for AC/DC...for the most part.
