so Force of Nature & Speed of Sound are getting ignored live

was gonna make a thread last week - "Which Backspacer songs do you think will be most/least played live"
looks like that question has already been answered after 3 shows
Fixer & Got Some are like the Severed Hand of the new album - most played
Force of Nature and Speed of Sound are like Army Reserve - least played (not played at all yet), and then probably never played again after this tour (assuming they will get played at all)
hopefully they won't be like No Way....or we will have to wait until the year 2020 to really hear them in concert!!!

"I'll tell you what: If all I had was Pearl Jam, and I didn't have another band in the world, I would not be worried. Because in there is the essence of making great music. You don't have to use it all at once, but it's there." - Neil Young

altho Speed is wandering in.
...with it's Rundgrenesque middle parts.
lovely.
Eddie Vedder solo: 2008 - Boston night 1 & 2 || 2009 - Albany, NY night 1 & 2 || 2011 - Hartford, CT, Boston, MA
Ed, the setlist maker, has some terrible taste in music.
for the least they could possibly do
I hide my disappointment cause for years I have been hoping
That when she came she'd be coming just for me...

That when she came she'd be coming just for me... ah yeah!

The recorded version has been growing on me, too. Still rather it be played less, and FON played more.

Honestly, most people seem to think the demo version is better. By design, I've never heard the demo version ... to the album version sounds great to me.
This is just another case where avoiding as many songs as possible before the official album release paid off.

yep...i listened to it a couple times and then forgot it....i knew the album version would be different so i didn't want to be influenced...and i like the band version better
This might be the same phenomenon that soured so many people on Gone.

masterpiece? no fucking way. This is a throwaway at best. If you think this is the best song on the album--or worse--one of the best they've made, you are insane.
Throwaway? You're nuts.

Yeah, PJ is going to be known for 'Force of Nature'. 30 years from now, that song will not be remembered.
Well, Jesus. I think there's a pretty big gulf between "throwaway" and "seminal song of a generation."
There are a shitload of great Beatles songs that are "throwaways" then. Because most people only remember crap like "I Wanna Hold Your Hand."
