  • can't help much on your question, i thought i read somewhere they were touring south america and the states in 2010 but dont remember anything about europe. but welcome, and don't worry about your english, it's fine.
if you think what I believe is stupid, bizarre, ridiculous or outrageous.....it's ok, I think I had a brain tumor when I wrote that.
  • OK thank you very much for your help; if I have any news about PJ touring in Europe; I post it in this forum!

But at the London 02 show i was led to believe by eddie that europe wont see pearl jam for a quite a while

  • They better get themselves over here again, yes we were lucky to get 3 dates in the UK and the first few dates of the tour but we only got a taster of Backspacer and I want to hear more of this live.

Yes other European cities should get dates, I'm all for our fellow Europeans getting some but the last DVD showed Italy wasn't lacking dates was it?

I would be up for going abroad to catch the band but my life is about to take a massive life change and I'm afraid going over seas would be a no no.

Considering S/T tour consisted of one Wembley Arena date and Reading & Leeds Festival it was about time we got something more, Radiohead are British but you guys in the U.S appear to get more chances to see them than we do, what is all that about?

I think the way Manchester and especially the 02 dates show PJ would do great business with more dates next time they return to old Blighty.

I was really chuffed they saw to give us a pre album mini tour but I hope from the reaction they got from us UK fans they will consider us more in the future.

I've seen them twice in my 17 plus years of being a fan and now after the stunning M.E.N gig I want to see more.
  • i think they're going to do a propper US tour before they go back to europe, i believe it will be following a short break after the aussie shows, then after a propper US tour they'll do europe, then off to maybe south america then home to rest and raise the kids and write music for their next album!

im thinking no england, but if its the summer they could do festivals like oxegen in ireland and t in the park in scotland, that would be epicly epic, i also think france, spain, italy, greece etc will get some love, maybe even scandinavia. they better come to ireland thats all that matters to me, although i will probably travel anyway

"but...this is gonna be the last show in Europe for quite a while..." said Eddie in London 18. August.
what did he mean? what's quite a while? 6 years? one year? 4 months?

I really don't like this situation but at the same time I can't wait for the day I'll open tenclub.net and learn about a new tour...it's always a pleasure and I'll never forget the moment I found out about this little European tour 2009. That was pure happiness.

From what I heard, they might tour South America in the beginning of 2010 before heading to central and southern Africa including Rwanda and Zimbabwe and the Middle East incl. Israel, Lebanon, Yemen and ... maybe Iran.

no seriously PJ, next time you're coming to Europe don't miss out on Belgrade. And for the Zimbabwean buddy I met in London, consider to tour at least South Africa some time soon...that would be da shit!

Yeah but how long's 'a while'? It could be 10 years or 10 months! Try not to read so much into it... I'm holding out for a Europe Backspacer tour next summer :D I expect to see you there ;)

Belgian - I LOVE how you sign your posts 'Eric the Belgian'. Genius. :D
Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

I think they liked the crowd response the first (and only) time they visited our country... (and they played ping-pong on stage!)
I really hope they'll include us the next time they're around.
The worst enemies of music? Money and Mathematics. Combined with music, they both do the exact opposite of what they're supposed to do. Money makes music cheap, mathematics makes it stupid and predictable.

I love Glastonbury,i feel like a sole campaigner around these boards sometimes :D
but if pearl jam dates are clashing its not even a question, sorry michael eavis ;)
But....in 2007 Michael Eavis said he would love the band to play but they were booked for hyde park calling,as we all know we got the wembley gig only
so my point is the Eavis clan have pj on the radar, and after NY&Springsteen this year why the hell not :?:
