Multiple Backspacer purchases......5!?!?

So...I pre ordered Vinyl and CD from Tenclub....found the CD at a local shop prior to the Sunday release...bought it. Ordered from Target because of concert downloads....and ordered another vinyl from Amazon...says there was some kind of Amazon exclusive content but I doubt it....
Are 5 copies of Backspacer too much...am I nuts?
Who cares...I'm happy as hell!

    Picked up the Target vinyl and CD
    Also the ITunes version for the Itunes LP.

    3. CD from HMV (pre ordered for the free poster which never arrived)
    4. CD from Townsend (pre ordered for the free o2 tracks)
    5. Vinyl from Amazon (cos I couldn't wait for the 10c one to turn up)

    I've given the pre-order CD to my buddy for his birthday.
    I've given the CD I bought to my cousin's 20 year old friend cause she seemed to dig it, and I want to spread the jam, and what better way than to turn on a younger music fan.

    I've got Backspacer on all my computers, and I'll probably burn another copy from my vinyl to listen to in my car.


    Too many? I don't think so.

    I bought double digitals of Backspacer (for myself), so to me, you're pretty normal. I'm the one that nut's & insane in the membrane! :P

    Plus 3 The Fixers (10c 7'', UK 7'', UK CD). Glad to see I'm not the only one around here with this kind of issues :lol:

    I guess the depths of the recession don't affect over obsessive Pearl Jam fans. I'm good with my one copy (and maybe a vinyl eventually) thanks.

    i bought 41 copies.

    14 cd's that so that i can put 2 copies into every room. 3 for the car incase the other 2 get a scratch. the other 11 i sent to Mark David Chapman.

    18 vinyls so that i can sit and smell all of them. my ritual is 3 minutes and 12 seconds per side. I do this with 9 vinyls only and keep the other 9 in Michael Jacksons old oxygen tent... it's ok... he doesnt need it anymore.

    I also ordered the wax cylinder version, the 8 track, the cassette and a betamax video of Jeff moulding butter into the shape of the General Lee car. I'm awaiting the 4 digital download ones to come but i'm having them blessed by an Native American amputee shaman first. Just for added rarity.
    oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

    as to the OP, yes, i think it's a bit overkill, but hey...it's YOUR $$$ and if YOU are HAPPY, that's all that counts! i understand getting 2 copies if you are a vinyl junkie...one record, one CD...but after that, i personally don't 'get' multiple purchases. so yea, one disc does me just fine. :D
