Sure, this is one of those "I just heard Backspacer on TV" threads that most people pass up...

Anyways, I'm watching the Michigan-Indiana game on ESPN and they are playing Backspacer on pretty much every commercial break! Yay! :D

Yeah, it really surprised me to hear Gonna See My Friend on that last one. Good stuff... well except for Michigan of course.

  • Yeah, noticed that today as well. ABC/ESPN has been playing a lot of Pearl Jam while going to commercials, also heard one of the anchors on Sportscenter say "Got some if you need it" during a highlight of a baseball game.
  • Just heard a decently long clip of "Got Some" during the CAL-Oregon game.

  • I heard it twice during the VA Tech game when I was watching.

played a good chunk of supersonic during the Buckeyes thrashing of IL.

i'm telling you, they paid espn/abc to use the songs all the time. not that there is anything wrong with that.

yeah, after halftime they played almost the entire second half of the song. the good thing about those long clips is they put the band name and song name on the screen. i'm sure they did pay for the promotion, as did Dave Mathews and Kenny Chesney, who have also gotten quite a bit of ESPN airtime lately.
