i loved S/T when it came out ... after first listen, I called it PJ's best in years. and now, Backspacer comes out and IT becomes PJ's best in years.

suffice to say, the last two albums have been fuckin awesome.

I pretty much feel the same way. But I keep seeing a lot of comments on here like: "Avocado hasn't aged well" and "S/T sounded forced... "

I don't get it. Self-Titled is amazing, IMO. This fact has not changed due to the release of BS.
  • yeah, i'm with all of you. Binaural and Riot Act also were good IMO, but there seemed to be new energy in S/T that has only gotten better with B/S.

    What's her #? I need to call ...
So I'll just lie down and wait for the dream
Where I'm not ugly and you're lookin' at me
  • Call S/T back and tell it we still love it, but it needs to stop being so competitive. It's got a new baby brother, that's all.

  • I think "self-titled" and "backspacer" are like sister albums, and I love 'em both. I certainly hear a common thread between the two.
