each time i turn around and look for you
you seem to have slipped into the crowd
a smile
is all it takes
dead trees lean and fall
leaves flutter, autumn has spun around again
we're still here
same space, getting a little too familiar
but im afraid to force the issue
maybe winter will bring us
together, sharing a fire
and a blanket
and each other
a smile, and i'll wait
i know i can't wait for spring
too fitting
too far off
a scene from a mountain-top
hazy, hard to distinguish
the town from the trees
i know there's a view
right in front of me
i just need someone
to point the way
"Ah, life is a gate, a way, a path to Paradise anyway, why not live for fun and joy and love or some sort of girl by a fireside, why not go to your desire and LAUGH..."

I'm sure this was written for someone else because I don't know you, but it has an earnest feeling to it and it made me smile.

Be assured that a good universe (the one we live in) wouldn't let good friends stay apart too long!!

    I took another step
to see which way my feet would fall
the right way must be left
straight ahead is never good at all.....
