Austin city limits question

So sorry if this question is a little on the dumb side, but I am confused. So it's this Austin city limits festival? Are they going to be preforming in the studio and then showing it on TV like all the other ACL's I have seen on PBS? Or is this more like an outside music festival where they will be preforming on stage and if you are not there then you are out of luck?

    They are recording the ACL thing on October 3rd (saturday) which will air on November 21st on PBS but they will be playing live on October 4th at the Festival.. hope that answers your question :)

    There are two things at play here.

    There is a television show on PBS called Austin City Limits that has been running for approximately 200 years. This is filmed in a studio. A band will come in and perform, and it will be broadcast on the air at some point in the future.

    There is also an annual music festival that the Austin City Limits people put on. It is called, appropriately, the Austin City Limits Festival. This is a big, outdoor music festival lasting three days. You will not see footage from this on television.

    So to answer your question: It's both.

    Did they confirm November 21st?
