... again.

So, i order the t-shirt online on Sept. 20 and get told i've got about two weeks to wait before it arrives. That's no big deal, right?

So, today, i get an e-mail saying it's been delayed until mid-fuckin'-November. Mid-November? Really?

An e-mail inquiring why gets this response:

________

Dear Xxxx,

I'm sorry for the delay in shipping the Pearl Jam Limited Edition T-Shirt from your order #602-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxx.

Unfortunately, this t-shirt is now backordered, and our supplier hasn't been able to let us know when they’ll be able to send more.

Please keep in mind that the availability and shipping dates on our website are estimates and might change. We do what we can to keep shipments going smoothly, but sometimes unexpected changes to our supply will delay an order.

When this t-shirt is back in stock, we'll ship it out to you as soon as we can and we won't charge you for the order until then. We'll send you an e-mail letting you know when your order is under way.

...
Sincerely,

Xxxx X.

Did the powers-that-be at Target realize what they were getting in to? Or did they just see a chance to say "exclusive" and stop thinking after that?

Unreal ...

Yeah, Target's the only store ever to sell out of a collectible before... what awful assholes they are for getting you the shirt you wanted 2 months late due to high demand. They could have at least had the courtesy to tell you it was totally sold out so you got nothing. What are you supposed to wear for those 2 months??
  • Target has always sucked when ordering online- always

    That sucks! Mid-November - zoiks.

I got my t-shirt the other day (was quite surprised).

I pre-ordered "Backspacer" from Target in August, and haven't gotten that yet. Go figure.

What size did you order? I have an extra one...size Large. Let me know if you want it, so you could then cancel the Target order or have one for now, one for later. :D
    Anyway, just an offer...
  • Target in Clifton NJ sold out on Sunday - Target in Fairfield NJ had M, L, XL at least 15 shirts left after I bought two today.

  • You can't expect them to have an ample supply of a shirt like that.
