I know that they are all probably great for different reasons. I just wanted to know other's opinions of which one gives the most bang for my buck. Thanks!

im partial to touring band 2000. it's the most accurate capture of the live pj experience... great songs and performances. immagine is a close second because it's so unique and a good blend of a peek into the band behind the scenes and great performances in front of crazy crowds.

i never cared for live at the garden. it does have a ton of cool features though and is a solid show, but towards the end it starts to feel more like "PJ & friends" with a ton of guests and stuff. they should've taken the buffalo show from that tour, which i hear they almost did.

Funny, I had the 2000 one in hand, but purchased the Garden one (2000 was $5 cheaper even). I thought I'd check around before opening the DVD so that I could perhaps return it and get the other one instead...

Personally, I like Immagine in Cornice. IIC is more than just a concert film as it has many scenes of the band off stage, sightseeing and interviews. The images are wonderful, it's in Europe, after all. I especially love a scene where Eddie and Boom check out church organs in these beautiful Italian (?) churches. Basically, where some vids are good for the music (MSG, for instance), IIC has good music and shows the band members' personalities as well. So for me, I got more out of this video than the others that out there.

they're definitely both worth seeing. it's a matter of taste... i know a lot of people that think live at the garden is the best thing since sliced bread. it's definitely the more official looking thing... the big hardback binding, long show, 2 discs, million features. it's a worthwhile purchase, and the show is very good. it's just a different style of pj... the more big rock celebratory thing they've been doing the last few tours, where everything feels epic. touring band has nondescript packaging and whatnot and little more than a patchwork of live performances (like live on two legs was on cd), but the performances, while a little more rough and subdued, are very passionate.

i should probably also acknowledge that i have a serious sentimental attachment to tb2k.

I liked it, but it always felt more minor to me. I think it was a fan club exclusive, so I don't know fi you can buy it in stores? It was kinda cool as it was shot in a small club and is a pretty good performance. But it was also kind of a preview show for Riot Act, so it's heave on RA songs... which sound tremendously better on the dvd than they ever did on album. It's also kinda cool cos it's a short, blistering show, very different from some of their others.

The responses here actually sound like the internal struggle that I had while at the DVD store. There seems to be a strong reason to purchase each of them. So, for those that have seen or own all of them... which is the one you would keep if you had to lose the others?

Single Video Theory has waaaaay more spins in my dvd palyer than any other. Great insights into the band and how they work together.

Showbox is ok, but its a lot of Riot Act from what I remember. I havent watched it in awhile. it does have a more dirty, dark, presonal feel to it. Also Im. in Cornice is spectacular.

    Immagine at Cornice

    No Doubt!
  • IIC was great looking but something I've watched only twice. I anticipated more after hearing the Italy shows would get realesed as a DVD.

To few songs (They shot material of five whole shows and that's all they could come up with) and songs are cut (RITFW and Betterman). So it's cool, but I would have wanted more songs on it.

TB2000 is the one I play the most. I like the roughness of it. Great selection of songs. Don't know why I prefer it to Live At The GArden though, maybe because of it being a patchwork of arenas etc.

AGEE WITH THIS POST. The Garden just doesn't do it for me and I too would have loved Buffalo, I was at State College but heard the night before was great too.

    My ranking is:

    1. Touring Band (its $1 cheaper than Garden BTW)

    2. SVT

    3. Show Box (1/2 is great and EV with the bush mask)

    4. Immagine

    5. Live @ Garden (should be the Other Garden--the real one used to stand in Boston)

IIC - but I'm biased because I love anything Italian, and I really like the Avocado album. That organ scene with Boom is really spectacular, especially on good speakers! Best part: a bonus track performance of "A Quick One, While He's Away"!!! (yup, the whole 9 minute mini-rock opera)

Though Touring Band 2000 will always make me smile because I was front row (mike side) when they played Wishlist in Memphis. Great concert and great memories.........

For me, touring band. Like someone said, it's gritty, feels almost like a bootleg, a real impressive dvd all around. It feels very PJ.

    After that:

    2. Single Video Theory... it's short, but seeing the band behind the scenes is a lot of fun, and it's all Yield songs so no duds, hehe

    3. Immagine in Cornice... I've probably watched this the fewest, but mainly becos i didnt watch many concert dvd's around the time it came out. it's a beautifully shot video, the fan clips are cool, fun to see the band wandering around Italy and chatting with people... it's a very unique dvd. And it's fun to see how crazy the euro crowds are compared to here.

    4. showbox... small club, solid, crazy show, makes the riot act songs sound half decent, it's a fun viewing

    5. live at the garden... good show, but feels like one of those prestige projects all the big bands do when they're doing retirement tours... bunch of special guests, long epic performances. it's a good dvd, dont get me wrong, but it's more becos that show was kind of an event, not becos it really captures what it's like to be at a pj show.
