Fuck me and my ability to perpetually be in the wrong place at the wrong time! I just saw another accident on the road. A motorcycle this time... hit by a car. The man was clearly dead and laying by the roadside. People scattered all around. Car, bike, and body matter strewn across the pavement... Rest in peace, angel without a name. Bless his family.
This is the fourth time now that I have witnessed death with my own two eyes due to traffic accidents... how many more until I am officially dead inside?0 -

Wow, I'm sorry you had to see that again.
Weird _ today I stopped in a bunch of traffic at a red light, listening to "I Believe In Miracles" from The Gorge, when a nitwit slammed into the back of my car. Proves that the 2011 Nissan Pathfinder is a sturdy vehicle, the Pontiac sedan, not so much.
She was a slack-jawed doofus of a kid. I'm certain she was texting at the time. Gave me an expired registration, and I said, "You'd better get your ass back in that car and come up with a valid registration." (She did.) I just barely stopped myself from saying "your fat ass" because that would have been unkind.
:x
What set me off, what REALLY set me off _ she never once said "I'm sorry." That's all I needed to hear.
I was fuming about this until I just read your post. Now I have readjusted my attitude, and I am thankful that I wasn't hurt (and, grudgingly, that she wasn't hurt).
I am sorry that you saw that, though... I'm so sorry you had to see that. I am so terrified of accidents. I have a huge car phobia. So big that I can't drive. I get horrible anxiety attacks whenever I try. I always swore I would not turn 30 without a drivers licence. 30 came and went and I'm still hoofin and hitchin. One of these days....Emily0

I have a kid turning 8 tomorrow and another turning 2 Friday. I am attempting to make and decorate cakes with fondant. This could get ugly, literally and figuratively.Emily0
