As most know, there was a small earthquake yesterday here (I hope noone was seriously injured anywhere by this)...where I am, it was minor, but weird. Anyway, somebody on facebook posted a pic of her patio furniture with one chair knocked over and she said 'the aftermath of the earthquake'. This guy commented 'where's fema when ya need em?'. :D

I like that - the 'good' in 'good bye'. could also be good riddance too.

  • Ahhh...should I start packing yet? I'm starting to freak out...it's so close...but still too far away. Still have a few loose ends to tie up. Ok, maybe not time to pack yet...but a list is definitely in order!
No time to be void or save up on life...you've got to spend it all.

The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.

I think I know what you mean. We have put some pretty high expectations on the whole weekend. And for me it seems like for some reason I won't be able to get there, like its just all too good to be true. I have actually thought of bagging the whole thing and staying home or heading to a quiet beach somewhere.

I kind of went through a similar thing last month: I know a lot of people form the U2 forum and we have all been friends for years. So when the latest tour was announced, Philadelphia was the show that we all agreed we would try to get to and have a big get together. November 2009 was when tickets went on sale for the show in July 2010, we all made hotel reservations for the Holiday Inn right next to the staium. Then in May it was announced that Bono had back surgery and the entire North American Tour was being post-poned until the following summer, the new Philly date would be July 14, 2011.

So after a very long wait, we finally all got there and we had a great time. I got to meet up with just about everyone I wanted to. The only downside was that it was short - just one day and night of the show and we had spent a lot of time in the hot parking lot in the General Admission line. I felt like the show got in the way of visiting everyone!
