Trying to think of a replacement for saying, "It is what it is," since I know that phrase annoys people ( but it is what it is). Anyone have any suggestions?

Sadly, no. I'm one who uses that phrase. If you can think of something...

Did you just answer with another question? You don't need to avoid the question. We both know that record is going to end up as a haunted one for many years to come.
Regarding the loss, it's just another match. We'll find out which team's going to win the 2019-20 Greek Championship in approximately 5 months. A long way to go, don't you think? Having said that, I would like to remind you that your favourite team defeated 4-0 by the "fellow citizen".
It was inevitable to happen one day. Football playes are not perfectly programmed robots. PAOK is definitely a very strong team, but don't get confused with the OCFP years. So instead of being happy for the defeat, recognise that unbelievable achievement. If any Super League 1 team managed to surpass it, I'd personally do the same.

First of all, I'm talking about football executives (owners, presidents) and not fans. Secondly, do you have any evidence regarding who did it? I believe the media were weirdly fast in putting a label on the attackers. Don't you think? Though I hate football violence, why exactly those Bulgarians visited Thessaloniki for? We all need to be aware and don't fall for this kind of cheap propaganda.

Pfffft.  I had a whole post written out about divisiveness and "us and them" and other bullshit.

    This works better.
