Trying to decide whether to stay in a hotel or use airbnb for my trip to Paris in Oct

Jenny, how long are you in Paris? Unless it's just a couple of days, I'd strongly recommend VRBO, which is a site that allows you to rent flats/apartments. We stayed in a beautiful flat in Paris last summer for much less than the cost of a comparable hotel, and had cooking facilities, laundry, etc.
I'd expect that'd be quite expensive though? The airbnb would only be €102 for 2 nights with free breakfast :) At the moment I have a hotel booked for €106 (free cancellation)
The flats are often cheaper than hotels but you usually need to stay for a week in high season, although off season it might be shorter. Have a good time whatever you choose.

Thanks :) I'm going to see a badminton tournament and will just be there for the 2 nights

Trying to choose paint colours for the exterior of our house. It seems so fraught with potential disaster if you choose the wrong one, because everyone can see it. It's not like just painting a room in your house. After an hour at the paint store we bought two little sample jars and came home and painted chunks of the back of our house. I had worried that both of the colours might be too dark, but on the house both are way too light; the grey-blue is too blue, and the grey-green is too green. Aargh. And this is just the start; we also need to choose trim and "accent" colours. I may just give up and have the whole thing beige again - sorry, "harvest", "torn parchment", or maybe "pistachio". :frowning:

    Good luck today Sam!!!^^^^

I don't wanna go to work today, I wanna go back to bed....I feel exhausted...but no headache today is a plus...

Yay! How do you like your new office?
I totally missed this...haha, I like it...the lights don't go out every ten minutes, it's nice...only thing is I'm near the freezer and chill docks so it's effing cold!!! But I do have a heater at my desk.
    When I was Farm
Manager at Tyson, my office was in cold storage.. And the flash freezer was behind it.. Have you ever HEARD meat being flash frozen?? It's super loud, and as the lines empty out, there's this super high pitched hiss.. I cringed every time!! And the only time I got to be warm was making rounds from farm to farm.. But most of the day.. I was bundled up!

I used air bnb for the gold cost Australia show. I was supposed to be there two nights but i missed my flight so in reality I was only there one night. The lady was super nice, took me to the show in her car, and refunded me for the night I missed. I wouldn't hesitate to book again, just gotta pay attention to the reviews.

My area has air bnb in the news a lot cuz we got people running "illegal hotels" in residential areas. As if all the new hotels they're building over here aren't destroying what used to be residential areas before the developers bought up the property for the hotels.

I was reluctant as it's not free cancellation like the hotels. It has great reviews though and I guess the fact that they provide breakfast swung it for me :)

Why do I get to work early on the days after I am out late, but am only on-time or running late on nights that I stay in and get to bed early?!

Lol! I don't know how that'd work?? The schedule is pretty rigorously planned. But I feel for these kids.. As I suffered a lot of what they are going through, as a kid, and can relate. I wish there'd have been a program like this when I was a kid!

your crime scene clean up experience will come in handy when you get that first whiff of freshly rotting garbage sitting on the sidewalk in 90 degree weather.
