    I was standing right by the front door getting ready to leave and my daughter who had already gone out came back in and forcefully opened the door knocking me upside the head. Ouch. Actually it hit me right by my eye and cheekbone. I swear, (yoo hoo, Juggler) I felt my brain rattle around in my skull. Nearly passed out. I have a slight bruise on my cheek. Damn.

    My late father taught English, and every year would read this one novel in particular with his kids. He really respected the author, reached out, and a bunch of times over the years, the author would come into his class and speak on the book. Out of the blue, and I don't even know why I did this (but I'm glad I did), I found his e-mail address online, and sent him an email. Got a really beautiful response back with memories of my father. It really touched me :)

    "I wish I was the souvenir you kept your housekey on...." that's like my favorite line from Wishlist and I realized I am the souvenir my husband keeps his housekey on...it's a keychain I got for my bday a few years ago, and M for Mandy with little crystals in it....and he took it and started using it... <3 I love that man!!!
