goddamn. that was the last f'n thing i needed to hear (especially today.) it isn't the least bit my nor my kids problem. i'm attempting to brush it off....not going to let anyone's toxic drama crash the tranqulity here

My sister passed away a year ago Monday. Amazing how the mind can protect you from realities that you can't possibly be immersed in on a daily basis. But then all of a sudden it was September 15th and it just smacked me right in the face. I wasn't good for much Monday or Tuesday; today I forced myself out of the funk, tomorrow will be better. I am sorry that you lost your best friend, that must be so hard - you seem to have been in the right state of mind though. Psychotic exes can tell when we are in a serene or fragile state I think. I hope yours left you alone. I'm grateful I didn't have to deal with mine. I don't answer the phone if he does call; there's nothing positive in any interaction with him so i avoid.
Funny how when we feel alone, there is someone else who is feeling loss and sadness at the same time. I didn't write anything on Monday but when I saw your post i just wanted to let you know that I hope you are doing okay and I have no advice, I just know what you're going through to a certain extent. I wish I could talk to my sister, that's what gets me the most - reaching for the phone and then realizing she's not there to answer. Puts a lot of things in perspective; but I have a lot of coming to terms yet to do. Hope you are doing well and that your best friend is possibly having a laugh with my sister somewhere bright and happy. That would be nice.
