    I'm taking the Amtrak to NYC for a second opinion on whether I need open heart surgery. The result shouldn't be worse than what was said August 15th, but I hope it will be better. Wish me luck in NYC!

    No matter what, I can't wait to find a new coffee shop before I take the train back to DC. :)

    Scheduled a painful doctor's appt for Wednesday...don't know if that's a good idea or a terrible idea yet. Wednesday's the 1 year anniversary of my dad's death :( Figured I'm already in pain, so what's a bit more....

    Doctor gave more good arguments for surgery. Open heart surgery in October. Doctor helped me to negate some fears, good conversation. One of my sisters was with me. Thank God! In NYC I will be for the surgeries.
