    I was giving my female box turtle Pandora (no relation to the forum member or the video games), a soaking or bath, I had to leave and I forgot about her. As soon as I remembered I raced home. She crawled out of the bath and roamed around my computer room/ library. I couldn't find her. I finally did find her, and she was under my printer.


    She hissed at me and tried to bite. She also had a mouth full of cat hair. My Mom's cat won't come in the room any more. :D . I understand Pandora is pissed and I'm sorry.

    How can I tell her I messed up? I've seen some angry turtles/tortoises ... Pandora has never been so mad with me. I need to go buy earth worms tomorrow, (her weakness). Her mate is the only one that has bit me and he thought I could have been food. (He is still hibernating).


    Box turtles get hurt feelings too. At least she is bold enough to bite the cat and hide. Poor girl, she laid 9 eggs this year. I'm not going to breed her for awhile.

    I feel terrible. If you can offend a box turtle?, you really messed up! :cry:


    I just wanted to get the cat hair out of her mouth.

    It doesn't seem like Easter. No egg dying or feast this year. It smacks of
    bygone days ... gone. Sitting here I think back to the plastic egg hunts in the yard.
    Brightly colored some hidden so well not to be found for years :lol: Daddy was good at that.

    The kids with their baskets sprinting wildly around the yard,
    fighting when they both spotted the same egg. Took turns giving it up.
    They were filled with money and the tally could be impressive.

    Then the kids hid the empty eggs for JB and I to run around and find.
    Laughing at us the whole time.

    A terrible storm is rolling in right now. Severe lighting , thunder, tornadoes, and maybe hail.

    I expect to lose power soon.

    The hail is going to melt before it hits the ground. It's about 77 degrees outside.

    I need to find my ruby slippers.
