back spacer better than last 2 albums!!!

this album just jams. i dont know how some people are comparing to avocado. the last 2 albums were VERY politically driven. dont get me wrong. they jam everything pissa. but this album is all good. just some real stories and beutiful writing. come back and big wave can compare a little but thats it. i mean do you really think bush leagre , army reserve, w w s, and inside job can be comaprable to this cd. dont get me wrong i stand by everything they do, i mean we could be paying 150 for a tix. but no we dont. who else puts out all there live shows, no one........ and forget about all the charities they support. these are just some cool mutha f^!*$rs thanks again to the baddest group of guys for 18 years of music in my life.

I do realize I'm pretty much alone with that order, but to each his own. Also Ten, Vs, Vitalogy, No Code, and Yield are all above that group, but Backspacer is right behind them for me, at least at the moment.

i agree. i hate war and guns and all that too. i love they use there stage to voice opinions. that takes balls. most band are to scared to be true. thats why these guys fukn rule. you r going to philly ? im going to philly 1. i live in boston and cant get a roadie to go to all 4 w me. bummer.

i think it's their best since Binaural...which is saying a lot because i really love the last 2 records---they each have some truly brilliant songs, in my opinion. but i don't listen to those whole albums all that much anymore, just the songs that i truly love off of them. With Binaural & Backspacer, i listen to every song. yeah, i know it's new...but i think they did a really great job with this one. i still love RA & S/T a lot, but i'd listen to Backspacer over them any day.

Riot act and Binaural always change but right now I like Riota Act more.

I just realized that my ranking is me basically saying each album got better and better.

You don't think the lyrics on BS are deep? I actually thought it was some of the best poetry Ed has ever written. I know that for myself, at this stage in my life, I have found more meaning and inspiration in these songs than in anything, ever. Even though I'm like half of Eddie's age, I feel like I can relate to some of the things he talks about on this album, like longing for the past, yet looking forward to the future, but at the same time being grateful for what you have.

The new album always makes me love the last one more. I just can't stop enjoying Avocado since the new album came out. Together with Backspacer I think they show so much of all that is good about the band. Politics, fun, rock, roll, anger and love. A great pair to listen to together, chalk and cheese.

I think that is why Riot Act suffers. It wasn't quite enough of a departure from Binaural in the way that previous and later PJ records have differed from the previous one to them.
