Simulcast of Pearl Jam Taping
Thursday, September 24th, 2009 by april
Austin City Limits will tape a performance by Pearl Jam on Saturday, October 3. Our studio capacity is too limited to meet the demands for this taping and we didn’t want our loyal blog readers to miss out on it so we’re video streaming the live recording direct from our studio to fans in the Hogg Memorial Auditorium.
....
We’ll be giving away tickets to the simulcast at noon on Friday, October 2, at KLRU-TV (map to KLRU). Tickets will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis, four (4) per person limit until supplies run out. We’ll be giving away more than 400 tickets to the simulcast, so bring your friends.
.. ..Remember, this is not to the studio taping, but to the simulcast party. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the screening will start at 8 p.m. Hogg Memorial Auditorium is located on the University of Texas campus, directions here.

Ohana Festival 24 x2
rather wait until November for the PBS broadcast-
may ask u a ? mate whats the diff between being so far back at fest show watching the screen than being in other building watch the show on a big ass screen your still the only one watching it live no esle is an its free an they have free beer an did i forget to say its blooody fuckin free mate
Yes that is- I hope they put it out as a DVD as well as the broadcast.
WHY??? Because the simulcast will be of the Television taping.,...meaning you will see EVERYTHING they play as opposed to the edited show which is only 55 minutes long
It said "Life is nothing but a dream."
I've spent so many years in question
To find I'd known this all along.
yup...they have a few kegs of Real Ale(brewed locally in Austin) in the studio for the guests...you cannot take beer into the studio itself...but its a nice gesture to offer to the crowd
