Nirvana Live at Reading

I pre-ordered this on Amazon last night. Comes out November 3rd. Also pre-ordered the Bleach vinyl (white vinyl) 20th anniversary which comes with a live show from 1990 on the second LP. Can't wait to see the Reading DVD though. Saw a shitty copy years ago but the performance was amazing.

    Yeah- I cant wait for this DVD, and the re-release of Bleach.

    Bleach is still a kick ass album.

    I haven't watched this show since the leaking of the infamous timecode source, thinking an official release might just be round the corner... I absolutely can not wait for this official DVD. I love the whole atmosphere around this show, there's something magical about it, and the fact it was their last ever show in the UK tops it off. Just thinking of the crowd sing-along to Lithium in 5.1... holy shit.

    Excellent! Don't really care about the DVD, I got like 6 different versions of the show. 2dvdrs, 1 dvdrs, 1 DL-DVDr etc.. They are not 'official' but they will do!

    I've been waiting years for an official release of the 1992 Reading Festival show. I am hoping that the 1991 performance will be included on the DVD as a bonus feature.

    I am pissed that Love Buzz is not included on the CD version (thus making the concert incomplete). At least Love Buzz is included on the DVD.

    I called up my favourite store last night and asked if they will stock it on November 1st as this is the worldwide release date as per the internet.
    They told me we have them in stock on sale now, I dropped everything and told them to put the 2nd last copy on hold for me and drove there. lol.
    Today I went to another store which had the CD in stock, got that too!
    Don't know how us Aussies got it before the worldwide release date???

    I saw this in Newbury Comics today and wanted to get it so bad. I got the shipping confirmation from Amazon yesterday so I hope it is here by the end of the week. torture.

    I downloaded the audio and it sounds good. But wait until you hear the Smells Like Teen Spirit solo. Oh my god. You know how some of Kurt's solos are so bad that they come all the way back around to good? Well this one is just plain bad.

    I bought the CD today and loaded it into my car as soon as I got in. There are few songs where a chord was over shot or not hit at all. The opening to Drain You was kind of butchered. I thought the sound quality was alright. It was not the best live album I have ever heard as far as sound quality goes, but I am willing to look over that considering that when these guys performed this show, the idea of a live recording being released was probably not on their mind.

    Also, Mudhoney does a much much much better cover of The Money Will Role Right In. Much Better. :)

    I think it's fantastic I downloaded it last week and jammed it twice really really loud in the car just a dynamic performance and really demonstrates how great a catalogue they had because this is over a year before In Utero (which has always been my favorite album) came out yet they manage to throw down what 24 songs-or something close I forget offhand- and I love the way Kurt sings the first couple of lines of Breed. As much as I love Pearl Jam and as much as I hate Billy Corgan for forever associating his latest cash grab with the word Nirvana was the perfect musical Zeitgeist for that time.

    I believe he was one of Kurt's assistants. He and another person used to keep an eye on Francis.
