I had an absolutely amazing time on the 2008 tour with the shows I went to, but a few months after it ended I burned myself out.
Since I got into PJ in 2004, I listened to every show, every album, all the time. Pearl Jam became my obsession (as im sure many of you can relate to), but at the end of 08 I just stopped listening all together. I burned myself out, I overdosed
I watched Got Some on Conan, and thought it sounded like garbage. Ed was struggling to catch up, and I wasnt sure how i was feeling about the song as a whole.
I didn't hear another Pearl Jam song until 9/16, when I picked up my copy of Backspacer at my local indie store.
Has not left my CD player since
This album is SUPERB. Every track. I love everything about it, and I am reminded why this is my favorite band. Its incredible to see how a 44 year old rock star can write a song, and have it relate to exactly what i'm feeling and thinking at this point in my life, as a 25 year old kid. VEDDER always hits the spot.
The band has a new energy to it, and its a beautiful thing. I cannot wait until the 4 night stand at the SPECTRUM.
