So Eddie and some other musicians are in Michael Moore's new film "Slacker Uprising" which is available to download for FREE through his site:
http://www.slackeruprising.com/

It was released just today, so I'll definitely watch it soon. You can see Eddie strumming his Martin in the trailer. Anybody seen it yet? (sorry if this has been discussed already)

    Go away.

His style is to create tension and animosity, not to bring people together and create consensus. Therefore, because of his polarizing views, he naturally has people who love him and people who hate him. Those people who don't like him aren't all conservative. But I'm sure Moore is happy that he has classy fanboys like you to watch his back.

He is a filmmaker, and his documentaries are actually interesting. But if it weren't for his political views and the fact that he is not afraid to express them, I'd be willing to bet he would be universally considered one of the best documentary filmmakers ever.

MM attempts to elicit emotion from the viewers (be it good or bad), which I think you would admit has worked on you.

Maybe. I know he hasn't rushed to call people dicks on this board, though. So perhaps he tempers it.

Absolutely. I own Roger & Me and the TV Nation series (on VHS!). But I also recognize that he is not afraid to twist "fact" to his purpose, remove context to make things fit, etc... He is definitely though provoking, if not always accurate.

haha, this is funny. cuz thats exactly what you are doing.

its like that episode of the office, diversity training, when toby says "hey were all not going to sit around indian style are we?" and michael says, "you know what toby that was offensive this is an environment of tolerance and understanding, so you should just get the hell out of here".

    :D

I get your point. But to be accurate, the polarization had already occurred when the guy came into the thread calling people dicks.
